The course consists of four blocks of lectures. Each block contains four lecturers. Homework is given after the lecture. I present an introduction to the theory of interacting fermions and bosons and discuss cooperative phenomena such as superfluidity, superconductivity and magnetism. Recent progress in the theory of strongly correlated electron systems such as high temperature superconductors and heavy fermion materials will be reviewed at the last part of the course.
The knowledge of Quantum mechanics (non-relativistic theory) and Statistical mechanics is required.
